We want your experience with The Art of Swimming to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us — we’re here to help!

What equipment should I bring?

To make the most of your lesson, we recommend bringing:

  • A towel

  • A pair of flip-flops for poolside comfort and hygiene

  • A padlock for the lockers (optional, but useful)

  • A pair of swimming goggles (we recommend AquaSphere for quality and comfort)

  • A swimming cap (optional, but often helpful for keeping hair out of your face)


What are the facilities like?

Our changing facilities are designed to be welcoming and practical. The changing rooms are unisex, but there are:

  • 8 individual shower cubicles

  • 6 private changing cubicles
    This setup allows you plenty of privacy while still keeping the space friendly and inclusive.


What if I cannot attend a session in my course?

Life happens — we understand! If you know in advance that you’ll miss a session, please call or email us as soon as possible. We can often make arrangements for a catch-up session so you don’t miss out on your progress.


Can I pay at the venue?

No, we do not take payments at the venue. All payments are processed securely over the phone or via bank transfer before your course begins.


What is the cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations must be made by phone call only.

  • We require at least 48 hours’ notice within our office hours (Mon–Fri, 9.00–17.00).

    • If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full charge will apply (late cancellation).

    • If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, we’ll happily reschedule or transfer your credit to another lesson (early cancellation).


What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your lesson. This gives you time to change, settle in, and be ready to enjoy your session without feeling rushed.


Do you offer women-only or men-only sessions?

Yes, we do! We offer dedicated women-only and men-only sessions. For more details or to book, please give us a call on 07931 652426.
