After a serious ankle break a few years ago, she rediscovered the Art of Swimming and committed to training as a Shaw Method teacher.

Csaba Hegadus
Csaba Hegadus has been swimming since he was very young, and his love for the water has never faded. His favourite school day was Thursday, when swimming lessons took place. Some of his fondest memories are of spending time in lakes, lidos, and rivers with family and friends. As he grew older, he continued visiting swimming pools for both invigorating workouts and relaxing sessions in the sauna.
For the past few years, Csaba has been teaching swimming — a role he loves and finds deeply rewarding. To him, water feels like a second home: safe, secure, and full of joy. He is passionate about helping others discover that same joy for themselves.
Csaba values the Shaw Method for the way it transformed his relationship with swimming. Its gentle, mindful approach makes teaching easier, helps learners progress faster, and ensures that both teacher and swimmer enjoy the process.
Mandy Hudson
Mandy Hudson has over a decade of experience teaching Shaw Method swimming. As a disabled person who has always loved being in the water, her aim is to share the joy of swimming with others. She is deeply empathetic and, through her own experience, knows how uniquely adaptable the Shaw Method is for every learner.
Whether swimmers are rehabilitating after injury or chronic illness, or simply feeling underconfident, Mandy’s calm and reassuring approach inspires trust and progress. For those looking to refine their technique, she provides personalised guidance to help them develop strokes that are efficient, effective, and effortless.
Ania Oprawska
Ania is a born-and-bred South Londoner with over thirty years of experience teaching swimming. She began teaching alongside a career in the voluntary sector, before her passion for swimming evolved into a full-time vocation. Unsatisfied with the blanket approach to learning to swim, she completed additional specialist courses in Parent & Baby swimming and the Shaw Method, and has been in high demand ever since.
Ania’s key aim is to help as many people as possible stay safe, enjoy the experience, and develop the most efficient way of moving through water. She is a strong advocate of the transformational effects the Shaw Method can have on adult swimmers and has guided many through the process successfully.
Bringing an element of fun to her lessons, Ania encourages clients to relax in the water, explore its viscous properties, adapt to the weightless environment, and discover the possibilities of moving effortlessly through it.
She looks forward to welcoming you to the pool!
