Try This # 3  – Smart swimming the breaststroke

  1. Experiment with softly RELEASING the feet into the frog position and turning the feet out
  2. Then GO – actively push your feet back and squeeze your legs together and glide for 3 – 4 seconds. –

Notice 

  • in the non-propulsive phase your hips knees and feet can be brought into balance
  • in the Go phase the body is propelled forward
  • And is much easier on the hips and the lower back

🏊‍♂️Contrast this with actively pulling your feet in and pushing them straight back.
