Dry land work is a unique and an integral part of learning the Shaw Method. We have developed a series of movements that have designed to be practised both in and out of the pool that builds up a new understanding of how to perform the strokes in a way that promotes optimal alignment and ease of movements.
“Habits are like tall tree and comfortable beds
easy to climb into but hard to climb out of”
In the Shaw Method we have found that swimming habits tend to be very ingrained and difficult to unlearn. So in order to develop the new stroke pattern we have designed a series of movements that can be practised on dry land on a daily basis that establish and reinforce the new healthier and more efficient movement pattern.
You will be amazed that with just 5 – 10 minutes of work on the vertical plane how quickly and effortlessly you can transform the way you swim.
