Art of Swimming was founded by Steven Shaw in 1994. The company’s mission is to change your relationship with the water, to make you a better swimmer and to enable you to enjoy swimming without strain. Since the company’s launch we have transformed the way thousands of people swim using Shaw Method.

Art of Swimming teachers have all been personally trained in Shaw Method by Steven and his team of senior teachers, and they attend regular sessions to update them on developments in the Method. All teachers in the UK also hold nationally-recognised qualifications in swimming teaching endorsed either by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) or the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA).
