At the age of 3 I was taken for my first swimming lesson and thrown into the deep end. Surprisingly this did not frighten me and I took to the water like a fish and have been swimming all my life.

In 2000 I qualified as an ASA swimming teacher and have taught children and adults of all abilities.

As a trained deep tissue massage therapist I became aware of the Alexander Technique. Whilst trying to alleviate my own neck pain I turned to the Shaw Method and was hooked. I rediscovered my relationship with the water and can now enjoy pain-free swimming.

The Shaw Method is an extension to my work as a massage therapist: achieving good body alignment produces an effective and efficient stroke.

I am currently teaching in Singapore and enjoy working with swimmers and non swimmers of all levels.
